Connecting Real World Media With Academia...

Whether it is intentional or not, life tends to imitate art, with the converse also being true. This bi-directional axiom was the catalyst for this not-for-profit project to be started.

Have you ever been watching a tv show or movie, or perhaps listening to a song, only to make a connection between that form of media and something that you learned in school? The goal of this website it to create a database of media application for both students and educators to reference to when trying to find a piece of media that helps portrays or exemplifies a particular topic.

Our Mission

Our (including you) mission is to create a community-built database of synopsizes of real-life media application to educational topic written by both students and educators. By doing this, the long-term and umbrella goal is to help create a free and open-source educational resource.

Our Goals

Below is our goals for the website:

Phase 1: Closed Beta

Only select users will be allowed to join and contribute to the community, while access to the database will remain public. Beta access is available to only a few educational institutions. If you would like to request access to the beta, like the button below:

Phase 2: Open Beta (Fall 2025)

By October 2025, we plan to open the beta for public sign-up and access. During this time, user uploads will be allowed to select trusted users for a trial period in order to test out the functionality of user uploads.

Phase 3: End of Beta, Full Launch (Summer 2026)

By summer of 2026, we hope to have the website fully established and operating efficiently.

This website, the database, and the community can only grow and thrive from user contributions. Feel free to contribute to the database by submitting media application synopses or help out the community with being active and helpful in the forums.
